Welcome to Chiruchiru, a charming café tucked away at 333 Honcho in Narita, Chiba. This delightful spot offers a nostalgic dive into Japan’s Showa era, showcasing an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. If you are a lover of all things vintage, you’ll find yourself captivated by the café's decor: ornate wooden furniture, patterned curtains, and a cozy ambiance that invites you to linger over coffee or a sweet treat.

Chiruchiru prides itself on serving quality beverages, particularly its impressive selection of coffees. Patrons rave about the unique flavors crafted with precision—from the rich aromas that waft through the air as you arrive, to the warm, inviting taste of each cup. One visitor, 'Phoebe C', encapsulated the café's essence perfectly, stating, “The café is clean with a quiet ambience and serves great coffee!” Whether you’re a fan of robust brews or looking for something lighter, this café has options to suit all palates.

In addition to its stellar drink offerings, Chiruchiru is known for its desserts. A popular choice, as recommended by locals, is the classic “mitsu-mame,” a sweet treat presented with fresh fruit and made using traditional agar from Bōshū. It’s comforting, simple in its presentation, yet bursting with flavors that feel just right, especially when paired with a cup of their aromatic coffee. One review from a frequent visitor capturing the essence beautifully adds, “The combination of the smooth agar and the seasonal fruits creates a delightful balance.”

What truly sets Chiruchiru apart, however, is not just its delectable menu, but the atmosphere. As you sip on your coffee, the café is often graced by the presence of a friendly cat, adding a homely touch to your experience. The tranquil environment is perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing around Narita, especially after exploring nearby attractions like Naritasan Shinshoji Temple.

While the staff at Chiruchiru may speak limited English, their friendliness shines through, helping to create a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors. As one reviewer, 'Hector Huang', stated, “This is a time travel experience,” reflecting the café’s enchanting old-world charm.

If you find yourself in Narita, be sure to make a stop at Chiruchiru. It’s more than just coffee; it’s a moment in time, a taste of nostalgia, and a sanctuary away from the bustle of the modern world. Enjoy the gentle conversation, savor the flavors, and embrace a piece of Japanese culture that feels wonderfully timeless.

Located on the same line of streets in the tourist street in Narita, this cafe os a must visit if you are into anything old school. The interior is Showa style and staff are friendly although minimal English so please be patient with them. The cafe is clean with a quiet ambience and the serves great coffee! They have a good range of drinks, especially coffees, although price point is a bit of the higher side. The melon soda float seems to be a staple on most Japanese menus and this one I had wasn't as sweet but was refreshing. The chestnut cake was also soft and non very sweet either. This cafe is another spot that is lovely to stop by before flying or just if you're visiting the area.

This is a time travel experience. The whole cafe is like one from Sherlock Holmes time, the table, the chairs, the walls and the curtains. Drinks are nice.

The inside is great(check pictures) and be ready to be greeted by a very friendly cat, the black cat is also friendly but a bit more nervous so be gently with him. Had marron cake and it was delicious. You are allowed to smoke at the entrance(outside) but i couldnt bring myself to do it and possibly bother the cats.
